Make a decorative rug using simple tools and torn strips of cloth. The Amish and other thrifty folks have used this method to repurpose worn fabric, giving it a new life as an oval mat. Participants will get their rugs started, learning to knot and twist cloth strips to get an oval started. Stitch placement to keep the rug flat will be described. Tools, fabric, and a handout will be provided.
If you have an old sheet you’d like to tear up and use, feel free to bring it along.
