Weftovers:

Weftovers accepts donations of yarns, fiber, books or anything else connected with weaving. When possible, yarn donations should be identified as to their material, size, and yardage per pound. For some great bargains be sure to stop by Weftovers at every state meeting. All proceeds go to the scholarship fund. Note: The Guild is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax-deductible.

Scholarships:

Scholarships are available from The Handweavers' Guild of Connecticut for study in weaving related fiber arts. To qualify for a scholarship, one must have a desire to learn and a willingness to share this knowledge with the Guild. No special expertise in weaving is needed. Any person who has been a Guild member for at least one year may request an application. Applications are judged and scholarships are granted by a committee of three Guild members as organized by the Scholarship's Chair. Awards are granted throughout the year, with a deadline of May 15 for summer events, i.e. NEWS, Convergence. Members may apply for scholarships every two years.

Scholarships are also available through the Handweavers' Guild of America. HGA provides over $4,000 each year in scholarships for students enrolled in accredited academic programs. Ratings:

The purpose of ratings is to offer formal Guild recognition to members who are interested in expanding their knowledge and skills, and are willing to expose their work to a formal critiquing process. For a full description of the ratings process, check out the ratings section.

Weaving Instruction:

Anyone interested in providing weaving instruction and would like it posted to the web site, please contact the website admin.
