Show and Exhibits The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC has an exhibit running through January 6, 2008 entitled Tapestry in the Baroque: Threads of Splendor. The show received rave reviews in The New York Times. Woven Wearables and Accessories Exhibit The Nashoba Valley Weavers Guild presents a weaving show at the Westford Museum. The Nashoba Valley Guild will showcase handwoven wearables and accessories such as jackets, dresses, vest, shawls, scarves and handbags. Each product is handwoven on a loom and hand made by the weaver. The opening reception will be held on Sunday Jan 13th from 2-4pm. The exhibit will be open on Sunday Jan 6th during the St. Distaff's Day. The exhibit includes woven designs, samplers and notebooks by Bertha Gray Hayes plus contemporary weavings inspired by Hayes. It will be held at the Courthouse Center for the Arts February 1 - 29, 2008 with an opening Sunday, February 3rd from 2:00 - 4:00pm.
