Handweaver’s Guild of Connecticut Weavers Retreat 2012
Date: April 20, 21, & 22, 2012
Time: Friday at 6:00 pm until Sunday at 3:00 pm
Location: Camp Washington in Lakeside CT
Cost: $185.00 per person, include 2 nights’ accommodations and all meals.
Join us for a wonderful weekend of weaving and friendship. If you have ever wanted to spend the weekend weaving with some friends this is the place for you. We will start the weekend sharing dinner on Friday with plenty of time to weave and relax until Sunday at 3:00 p.m. In between perhaps we will share a few weaving tips, stories and I’m sure a few laughs. Although our primary focus will be weaving please feel free to bring your spinning, knitting or even a good book. This is a weekend to spend on a project of your own choosing!
Camp Washington is an Episcopal Camp and Retreat Center in Lakeside CT. We will have the Transfiguration Lodge for our use all weekend. It contains a large meeting space where we can set up our looms and a kitchen area for coffee, tea, and snacks.
Our sleeping accommodations will be in both the Main Building and the Transfiguration Lodge. They consist of rooms with two beds in each and a sink. There are shared bathrooms and shower rooms on each floor. Two of the rooms in the Main Building are handicapped accessible. All linens and towels are included.
There is a limit of 40 spaces. If you would like to attend please send your name and contact information (including email) along with a $50.00 deposit (make checks out to HGC) to Mary Roche. For more information, contact Mary Roche.
