areas. For information about any area, contact the area chairperson. The
local areas hold regular meetings in addition to the bimonthly state
meeting. Please feel free to attend any Area meeting!
For information on which area is closest to you, contact the webmaster at weavemaster@handweaversguildofct.org Area I - North Central CT June Meeting: Area 1 will meet for their annual pot-luck picnic at the home of Fran Curran, on Tuesday, June 3rd at 4 pm. We are planning on having an indigo dye session before the picnic, so bring anything you would like to dye blue. We will plan on eating at around 6:00 pm and follow up with a short meeting. Remember to bring a favorite dish and your finished gamp!. Contact Fran for directions. Contact: Area II - South Central CT Monthly meetings held on the first Thursday of the month in members' homes @ 7:00 p.m. May Meeting: We will meet on Thursday, May 1 at Contact: Area III - Western CT Monthly meetings held in members' homes the 2nd Sunday afternoon during winter months (Standard time) or the 2nd Wednesday evening during spring and early fall (Daylight Savings time). May Meeting: May 11 – Sunday 1:00 pm at Sue Taube’s in Norwalk; email to RSVP or for directions. Last hands-on double weave meeting to support this year’s Friendship project, including tips for warping. NOTE: Area 3 meetings will continue on Sunday afternoons all year (except June), with dessert only, to allow more time for active learning. June Meeting: June 14 – Saturday 10:00

NYC on the train from Old Saybrook to visit Habu and attend a
Contemporary Fiber Arts exhibition by Polly Barton at the NOHO Gallery. Jack Lenior Larsen states:
"Perhaps no other artist in the West has employed Ikat patterning
so richly as Polly Barton. The washes of color so achieved are
phenomenal." We will
